The DT40 is the final and longest race of the series. We listened to feedback after the race in 2015 and extended the course to 42.195km, making it full marathon distance. Run over less technical terrain than the first two races in the series, but with over 3,000ft of ascent, this is still a challenging event. Covering a markedly longer distance – requiring strategy, consistency and stamina – the course features good hard-packed trail (Roman Road) and less technical descending, but one steady climb runs to almost 12km!
Note that while the DT40 route is a marked route, map-reading skills are definitely a plus on this course to help you plan your race strategy.
Starts/finishes at Semer Water, Wensleydale.
Total ascent: 1016m / 3333ft
La Sportiva will be providing great prizes for winners.
Every finisher will receive a Dales Trail Series DT40 tee.
Food and hot drinks are included.
